Late start to work after dropping the wife off for her work trip to Oklahoma City.

During the day I noticed my phone was acting up. The touch screen would intermittently freeze or press random buttons. This has happened on a few occasions since I got the phone but sorted itself out. In addition today the earpiece decided to die, just giving static. A few attempts at system restore and backup resolved the issue temporarily.

This all occurred about 30min prior to my phone interview for the sales position. After waiting 3 weeks for it after it was rescheduled on numerous occasions it was confirmed on today. Now I thought I wouldn't be able to have it as I didn't have a phone (no landline, wife away, not doing it on lab phone for obvious reasons).

Anyway another restore with no backing up in addition to using the speakerphone instead of earpiece did the trick and the call was successful.

The interview went much better than my last one. I was more confident and could answer the questions well. The sales manager said my answers were good and logical and that my research background was impressive. Again, the only (and major) issue is that I have no sales experience (chicken and egg syndrome if I want to get into sales). She said she understood I had to start somewhere but it was still a major concern for her. In addition to this, she was swamped by candidates and said the economy didn't seem as good as people made out as so many people wanted to do this entry level position which doesn't pay much better than my current one.

I felt I gave it my best shot and that's all I can do.

Arranged an appointment at the local apple store to get my phone checked out. They suggested there was some issue with the front plate (touch screen and ear piece) and offered to either give me a new phone (but could not ensure it would be activated anytime soon due to being on virgin mobile and not one of the main carriers) or replace the front plate (take around an hour - which I was not willing to wait for). I had been waiting for over half an hour after my scheduled appointment to get seen. I don't see the point of these appointment times and customer service in the stores is very slow.

Anyhow I decided to stick with my current phone as it is working at the moment and it's still got a year's warranty so when I have more time I can get it replaced.
