Beer Speaks/People Mumble

MADE IN PETALUMA USING ONLY INGREDIENTS FOUND IN BREWERIES
Heaven forfend that we should run out of beer in the next three days! OilMan and I went to the store on one of the busiest grocery shopping days of the year, (surpassed only by Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving and the occasional senior citizens' discount Wednesday) hoping to divide and conquer. We'll still have to go back on Wednesday to pick up the turkey, the pork loin and probably more beer! In fact, before the last family member leaves town, we'll probably have made a collective 47 trips to the store....

I organized our lengthy shopping list into sections (dairy, produce, meat, etc) and divided it into two parts, .each part covering one half the store. OilMan approved of my list making skills.

The division of labor quickly became a contest. and we raced off to opposite sides of the store, wielding our carts like battering rams. I had to concede defeat to OilMan when he found me still in produce, but only because I had gotten stuck behind a batty littlle old lady who decided to stop mid-aisle and reorganize the entire contents of her cart. Also I couldn't find the blood oranges....or the salt.

When we got home, OilMan opened himself a beer, either to celebrate,, or to begin to gird himself for going back again on Wednesday (senior citizens discount day--the horror...) or perhaps just because he could.

I bet he's checking right now to see what time Oliver's opens on Wednesday so he can beat out arrive before the tottering old guy and batty old ladies senior citizens.
