Blue with cold

Despite waking up to -5' I have had a happy and warm day with my quilting friends as we worked together making a Christmas banner during a workshop. We work in the local bowling green clubhouse and all the while we were there the frost remained on the 'green' rendering it a ghostly and unwelcoming white.

By the time I had returned home the temperature was rapidly receding from its mid-day high of 3' and once I was booted and spurred with both lively dogs in tow I was met by this gorgeous sight of the cold mist thickening in the valley below the hills. I have not tampered with the colours - it really did look this cold and blue!
