Sunday skies #3

It was a cold, grey and dismal day and if it hadn't been for the challenge by creative lenna for Sunday Skies i think I would have missed a blip today.

We had gale force winds on Wednesday night and I have been busy in the garden repairing the damage to my greenhouse and also shredding as much as I could of the fallen branches from a tree which crashed to the ground just outside my garden hedge. However, this shot shows some of the fallen trees up on the higher ground where I sometimes walk. Recent felling has left the outer trees totally exposed to the elements which is probably why the wind sent them crashing. If you look very carefully you will be able to see Cara surveying the scene below the rather cold and grey sky.
