Sommaroy

We drove from Tromso through blizzards and deep, thick snow, to the island of Sommaroy.

Our final night in Northern Norway and we've had the most wonderful welcome here. Excellent fish soup for lunch and this evening we will be near the open sea (with a warm building or terrace to escape to) in our final attempt at seeing the Northern Lights.

Whale watching here tomorrow morning, looking for humpbacks and killer whales.

Before our lunch we had a walk to the Coral Beach. So so deep and soft the snow. A dream.

It's been so wonderful. Not sure if I care if we miss the Aurora this time. I want to come back.
