It's a Journey....

By LeeAnn

This was taken at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis. This mansion was built in 1905-08 by a Swedish immigrant, Swan Turnblad, who made his fortune printing a Swedish Newspaper. In 1929 it was donated to a community organization and eventually became the American Swedish Institute. This is probably one of the most beautiful old buildings in Minneapolis. During the holiday season many of the rooms are decorated in the traditional styles of Scandinavian Countries. This group is the ASI Spelmanslag I chose this photo because the colour challenge today is gray. I see gray hair on a lot of these musicians!
