Apparently almost every shop is shut on a Sunday in France. Who knew? It was little bit frustrating to have my progress stunted so heavily at such an early stage of the trip, but at least I was able to rest and have a look around Tours.

My frustration quickly evaporated as the sun came out and I stumbled across this little market, crammed full of fresh produce, local cooking and even a couple of live animals.
