Rest and Be Thankful

This sign has hung in this overhang of a barn end for years, the farm buildings that surrounded it had long been disused until a few years ago when they were all turned into Barn Conversions and mysteriously the sign disappeared along with the rotting log below it that folk used to rest and be thankful on!

Then one day the new owners of the conversion were visited by a man who had found the sign in the field opposite whilst he was metal detecting and being a local chap recongnised where it came from, he gave the sign to them and they polished it up and re-erected it, the PC also paid for a new log bench to sit underneath it again so once more folk can rest and be thankful and admire the view up to to the Chiltern Hills.
