Little Kimble Railway Station

This is the Railway Station House at Little Kimble, the line was opened in 1872. It is a single track branch line that is run by Chiltern Railways. The House is now a Private dwelling and the station has only a permit to travel ticket machine, but it also has a digital information board which is useful.

The line runs between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury and there are both Passenger and frieght trains that use the line.

The passenger service is basically a shuttle service between Princes Risborough, where you can join the mainline to Marylebone or Birmingham and Aylesbury, where you can also get to Marylebone but via a different route than at Princes Risborough.

Incidentally the line runs about 40ft from my house........the freight trains can be very noisy but on the whole we don't really hear the trains anymore!
