I believe!

I had a shopping day today. Other things were meant to be done as well, but who knew 5th Avenue was so long (clearly not me!). It's great if you love clothes, but really otherwise just a long walk. And I have walked a loooooooooong way today.

I was going to have a tootle round FAO Schwarz but people were queuing to get in. Queuing to get into a shop?! And also to get into St Patrick's Church. Erm... no, I don't think so.

I had a look around the NY Public Library which is a stunning building, and sat outside for a bit to collect myself and rest my legs. Had a lovely chat with an Indian man called Cameron then, at Lynda's suggestion, I walked around the back of the library to check out Bryant Park market - I loved it, ice rink and all, and picked up a few lovely bits.

Had a quick wander around Macy's then (more for the loo really than anything else) - do you know they've still got wooden escalators??

The only thing I'd actually booked for today was an evening bus tour, so I shot up to 47th Street and off we went. We took in Times Square, the garment district, Greenwich Village, Soho, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, the East Village and the meatpacking district before coming back to Times Square. It lasted a couple of hours and the guide, although not a native New Yorker, was really knowledgeable and fun.

A bit of a detour on the way home - my train didn't stop where I thought it did, so I ended up in the depths of Brooklyn!! Thought about panicking but them decided not to bother - the next train back stopped at a station near(ish) to the hotel. Flippin' lying down now though!

And it started snowing :-).
