If I actually watched films I'd give you some space age reference for this. But I don't, so I can't.

Work, pack, run around town a bit, catch bus to Heathrow, take "scenic route" to avoid a crash on the M3. I wasn't actually flying anywhere but K's been in Hamburg all week and logistically it had made more sense for him to drive to Heathrow from work ok Monday and then me to get a bus up before we drove up North. The delays meant that any planned I'm at the airport with nowhere to go photos were ditched and I had to run for the pods to meet K in the car park before his time ran out.

The long, long journey up north was broken up by a cracking Nepalese curry at Mount Gurkha in Loughborough. It may add a bit more time but I'm liking our new tactic of avoiding motorway service stations and instead just heading off motorway in search of a curry.
