Drawing

Hayley works in the mornings, so we had some quiet time to chill out for a bit. The boys found the crayons and chalk and in an effort to stop them drawing on the floor and the windows I found some lining paper and stuck a couple of pieces to the floor for them to draw on. It kept Bean occupied for ages. Bear was more interested in getting in Bean's way, and in drawing on the floor. Eventually I had to remove all felt tip pens from reach as usual. Bean drew this amazing picture of a monster the other day on the chalkboard. I asked him if he'd draw me one on a piece of paper, and I'd colour it in for him. He keeps getting distracted and drawing all sorts of things, but I've not yet had a monster to colour in ;)

We spent the morning (after the drawing session) at Christina's house, the boys playing and the mummies chatting. There are too many babies at the moment. Far too many. And they're all pretty little things and far too cute and I had too many cuddles and my baby-fever broodiness is hurting again! I intended that we should go into town for lunch, but on reaching the level crossing and arguing with Bean that the store was NOT in fact a cafe but a shop, I went to a cash point to get some money out and discovered that my handbag was not where I'd told Chris's little boy it was. It was in fact still at their house. SO back we went. And ended up staying for lunch! And more playtime and chatting time. So lovely, and unexpected. Eventually we made it into town, looking forward to meeting Daddy for a drink in the cafe with the cakes as his meeting was only a short one today. We even made it to the beach afterwards for a chilly hello and goodbye.

Nobody wants to go "home" to Manchester today.
