Shadows of desperation!

Desperate for a blip tonight!
I went with my daughter to collect her wedding dress today. She tried it on and it fitted perfectly! Only the length will need adjusting but not until two months before the wedding day. She looked so beautiful - I don't know how I'm going to stop myself from crying!!
Off to the garden centre for a quick lunch with a friend and I bought my Xmas present from my parents - they can't get out to the shops much so tell me how much to spend! I bought a bird feeder to put outside my kitchen window.

The afternoon was uneventful - little grandson seemed a bit out of sorts so needed lots of cuddling.

He's in bed now, daughter's cooking dinner, hubby's still out at a Beaujolais do and I have a glass of wine.
I've lost 6lbs in two weeks on the 5:2 diet and I feel so much better. The fast days are like detox days - I feel so much lighter. It's done wonders for my digestion.. if you know what I mean...!

My blip is of my ceiling from the sofa. The only light source (apart from the tv) is a standard lamp moved from another room because the dimmer switches have stopped working and are waiting to be fixed! I had the two velux windows put in because the ceiling is very high and the room quite dark.
It was dark outside before I'd thought about a photo!
