Male Goldfinch

I think this chap was determined to catch some Rays.The cloud was building up with the threat of some rain when a flock of some 30-40 Chaffinches swooped into the lower branches for cover.
They have wonderful colours this time of the year but are not yet tempted to come into the garden to feed as there is still so much 'wild' food about!
