Autumn Leans
When cast to the ground,
The tree finds a different way,
To reach for the light.
A very dull day today .... this tree stood out like a beacon with it's glorious colours. I was so focussed on the tree I didn't notice I was being Sadie-bombed!! That darned dawg!
Many trees round here were blown down in the storm of 1987 and were then left where they fell, new growth sprang up from the upturned roots and fallen trunks creating new landscapes. This is one such case. The "parent" tree has pretty much rotted away now but this new tree has sprung from the upheaved roots. Not sure why it's leaning but I rather like the fact that it is.
