Edinburgh by Night

This is Edinburgh gearing up for its Xmas celebration. The Big Wheel is up but not yet turning. There's lots of activity as the Xmas German market is being built alongside Princes Street Gardens. There's some changes this year as the Wheel has been set along side Princes Street rather than a a right angle to it and the ice rink is going to be beside Princes near the Scott Monument rather than down in the well of the Gardens. This is a picture that I take most years but there are these subtle changes to it which probably help as it now gives the Scott Monument room to breathe.
