End of the day
Long day. (I feel like I'm saying that a lot lately; perhaps I need to redefine my internal length of day measure.)
Up early with Mr B to take him to the airport. Felt bad letting him hobble in there on his own, but that's how he wanted it. It seemed to go ok, and it seems that the wheelchair chap at Schipol airport actually wheeled him all the way to his office! (It's part of the airport complex, but very far away. But it at least makes the point to his boss that he shouldn't really be there.)
Home to collapse back into bed for long enough that getting the kids out of the door to school and tutor was a rush. Then back to prepare TallGirl's forgotten lunch, deliver it to the school secretary, collect CarbBoy and meander back to Toulouse for the planned Ikea shop.
I've been grumpy for a wee while now that it still feels a bit like we're camping here. So, some storage solutions to get the kids' rooms looking a bit more civilised. Getting it all in the car was a bit of a struggle, but CarbBoy was clearly so unimpressed by my boot-packing spatial awareness that I didn't want him to witness my roof-rack use incompetence. Eventually it all went in...
Then normal Wednesday driving around madness, with only this quick sunset snap. It really was a beautiful day: sunny and crisp and our first chance in weeks to air the house. Still some rain (at 4 something a.m. when I left the house) but it's looking up. I might even get those tulips planted one of these days...
