Back To School Night
It was to be a parents only meeting, but since I couldn't get a babysitter and my sweetheart is away on business, they came with me. This was Kindergarten Night and I went through the exercise of being my daughter for one hour. The teacher had the parents go on a scavenger hunt to discover all the learning stations in the classroom. To be honest, I was a little bored. She gave us a 14-page booklet of all the rules and resources she uses to teach our kids to read, write and count. I was happy to see the room was very stimulating, but not cluttered, and I could imagine Alyssa having a great time. This blip is Alyssa's picture depicting part of a story that the teacher had read.
While I was in the class room, the kids remained seated in the hall, and entertained themselves wonderfully. I was so proud.
I also met two separate parents who are Michigan Fans. Now I got excited...play-dates on Saturday afternoons...Go Blue!
