Alvie
Today was the first day of the demolition of the old house (I published a blip last week, I think). It is tough work. First, it's dark and dank, solitary, musty and mildewy, not the setting one wants to be in much. This place is well over 100 years old, and Tom's parents bought it back in the late 1960s from a fellow named Alvie Copeland. Today, the first board I ripped from the wall I discovered Alvie's name on the backside in probably his own hand. Our son Josh lived in this house for quite a while after graduating, and he always said it was haunted. I'm not sure if it is haunted or not, but today Alvie at least let his presence known.
