In Between Raindrops

For a few minutes early this morning, we had a lovely blue sky and fluffy white clouds visible to the east and south, so I quickly dressed and grabbed my cameras. By the time I got in my car, there was only a tiny patch of blue, fast disappearing.

I headed for Lake Padden, where by now there was no blue sky to be seen, but in between rain showers I enjoyed experimenting with color and mono images from a couple of different vantage points. This mono view of one of the docks was my favorite -- and it's an interesting contrast to another Lake Padden blip taken under very different weather conditions!

Writing this a couple of hours later, there are again some tempting patches of that same blue sky and white clouds to the north and to the east, but I'm sure that if I headed for my car, they would instantly disappear!

(If the weather clears and we have a lovely sunset, I might be tempted to replace this… )

(Two hours later that blue sky/white clouds view returned, and it looks as though it will be around for a day or two! I'm so tempted to change my blip for today, but will abstain and hope the forecast for tomorrow is accurate.)
