Paper Communication
Just when I thought the days of old fashioned letter writing had died a death and I was destined to keep in touch with friends by emails or texting, I had the joy yesterday of having the postman deliver both a letter and a post card. With the letter was sent a little glass Christmas tree which seemed to connect symbolically with the post card from Nazareth
Nothing beats paper communication between friends; to know someone has actually taken the time to put pen to paper, printed out a letter and added something of their own making, and then trudged to the Post Office to send it on its way, means so much more than hastily typed and spell checked e-mail.
Thank you both, you know who you are!
His Lordship and I sallied forth to Cockenzie House this morning to look and wonder again at the design and beauty of the Great Scottish Tapestry on display until the beginning of December.
From there we had a short bitterly cold walk in the sun along the John Muir trail, before returning via no 42 The Harbour, Port Seton to buy ice creams to eat in the warmth of the car.
There is nothing like being a little mad and beating cold with cold.
