lunch at piccos

A few blips ago a very 'ho hum' hound was waiting at Piccos and today Mum and I had lunch at Piccos.
Up and off early for her monthly eye clinic visit followed by our treat of lunch which has previouslybeen at the Uni Club but somewhere different today.
Hence Piccos.
Mum had the beetroot cured salmon, rosti, rocket and horseradish creme ...she is a serious salmon sampler!!
And my plate was loaded with pork and sage terrine,pickled walnuts, beetroot relish and sourdough toast.
The curing, terrining and pate making happen in the kitchen and it is ....
....Yummmm.

Well off the beaten mainstream track Piccos is tucked in beside a deli and newsagents and not much else apart from housing.
Very encouraging to see tables filled with folk enjoying lunch on Tuesday and needless to say it is packed at the weekend.
