Anyone have a name for me?

I went out to try and find a bee on a rose to photograph, and instead this very metallic looking bug flew right in front of me and landed on a leaf. It was shining in the sunlight and looked absolutely gorgeous with it's very colourful shell glaring at me. Does anyone know what this bug is called?

We are busy doing our silage today. We won't get it finished today. Hopefully the weather will stay fine and we will get it all in the pit, and covered tomorrow.
