GOLDFINCH
The Goldfinches outnumber the other birds by far these days, so it’s about time I feature one on Blip. At first I thought this little puff ball might be a juvenile male since he is small and fluffy and his golden color shows fairly well. I wonder though if he’s an adult, but is just puffed up to keep warm. Most of the goldfinches here are the dull brown females, so I was glad to spot one with a bit of color. There were usually between six to ten on the feeders at any one time today.
Today was still extremely windy but very cold compared to yesterday. No sun, but no rain either – that seemed nice. No complaints though - we were fortunate compared to those who were devastated by so many tornados across the country.
