Looking north along the Buchan Coast
A duller day today but still dry, with some sunny spells. Our walk took us north from Collieston, firstly along the road to Old Slains, with the ruins of the less-well-known older castle on the promontory at the end of the track, then back along the cliffs on the footpath with some spectacular views, in all directions. Lots of geese in the sky and the fields today, a sure sign that winter is on its way. We were pretty cold by the time we got back, a good excuse for a warming glass of malt. Then back to the books, and the Sunday papers. A fine way to spend a November Sunday!
