Something I Do Every Day

Well, something I do several times a day when I'm in Boston -- Walking on Boston Common with the dogs. When we're at our farm in Connecticut, we can just open the door and let the dogs out, but in the city it's necessary to go for several squirrel hunts walks in order to keep everybody happy.

This is probably the worst picture I've ever put in my journal! I had this clear image in my head of photographing the long autumnal shadows of Mr. W, BB and Sally, but two of the three models refused to cooperate! The smallest one kept shooting off at oblique angles after squirrels, the middle one meandered aimlessly around, not making the crisp, dark shadow I had in mind, and only the largest one followed any artistic direction! In desperation, I took Sally's leash, and with only one dog, I was at least able to capture a paltry version of what was in my mind's eye!
