Starfish

We both thought these little (Greater Butterworts) looked liked little star fish, the seeds need bare ground, with no competition to germinate. Here the seeds have been able to take advantage of the trampled ground alongside the footpath and there was a carpet of small plants, there will be a wonderful display in early summer when from the center of each rosette a deep blue flower will be held on a stem of four to six inches, the plants are carnivorous.
