Kinkell Castle

What an amazing place.

Kinkell Castle saw the first of (hopefully) many clarsach weekends. Our host was Gerald Laing, sculptor and painter, and our teacher was Alison Kinnaird. The castle is not open to the public, so I felt quite privileged to be able to be a part of this great place - even for a few days. The garden was another source of joy.

It was fantastic. It has been over one year since I had a lesson on the clarsach, and I realised that I had gotten out of the habit of learning. I was a bit slow.

However, the atmosphere of the place and the pleasure of meeting new and old friends meant that it was an absolutely brilliant weekend.

Night all.
