Wai-O-Tapu

Still waking up very early - before sunrise. Got up and out by 8:45am to go to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and catch the eruption of the Lady Knox geyser (set off by the addition of organic soap into it!) Had a great walk around all the beautiful and intriguing geothermal features - until I walked down some steps and sprained my ankle.

Managed to hobble round the rest of it all after sitting down for a while, then spent the rest of the day with my foot up back in our motel room. Tim was so sweet and bought me a cuddly kiwi (with real kiwi sounds) from the gift shop, got me ice for my foot and also cooked us a delicious dinner.
