San Martin x 3
The statue is of General José Francisco de San Martín (1778 – 1850), in the San Martin Square in the Patagonian town of San Martin de los Andes. You get the idea. He is generally acclaimed as ‘liberator’ of Argentina, but not everyone has a wholly favourable view of him.
