Got a Job!!

This is my beautiful eldest daughter Carys who's having cuddles with Tinkerbell. She's studying A levels at college at the mo and has been applying for part time jobs for months now, without any success. But on Thursday she received an email from the Events Team at the Vale Resort asking if she would like to undertake a trial waitressing shift on Friday evening and of course she jumped at the opportunity! All she knew was that it was going to be a 6pm to 2am shift!!!
So I dropped her off at the hotel at 6pm and thankfully hubby picked her up at 2am! I need my beauty sleep you see!!!
It turns out, she waitressed for a charity boxing event that was catering for 300 people! And thankfully, she really enjoyed it, despite the large numbers of very inebriated people and the site of the boxers punching merry hell out of each other!!!
The other bonus for her was seeing all the Wales rugby team players in the bar, as the Vale Resort is their team hotel. Her sister was most put out by this as she has rather a soft spot for a couple of players!! Leigh Halfpenny in particular!!
I have to say I am so proud of Carys as even though she has never done anything like this before, she did get the job!! Horrah! It is on a 1st come 1st served basis, i.e staff are contacted when they are needed for an event and its whoever says they're available first, gets to work. But thats ok, better than nothing eh?!
Finally, so chuffed with the Wales boys beating Argentina 40-6 today. A great win.
