Elephants in Cardiff

Popped into Cardiff this afternoon with my Mum and youngest daughter to suss out 18th birthday presents for my eldest daughter who turns 18 on 23rd November. We have decided on some lovely bling which she can add to over the years to come.

My Mum also wanted to go to the card factory to get her Christmas cards and outside said shop we came across this beautiful little baby elephant who was looking very pretty in pink. It tuns out that she is part of the national Elephant Parade Tour which is raising awareness of conservation projects to prevent their extinction in Asia.

This elephant is called Spirit which was designed by the designer Mercy Delta and tv presenter Alex Jones and there are 7 others situated in various places across the city. I think I will have to hunt them all down and photograph them.

In other news, eldest daughter is doing a trial waitressing shift at the Vale Resort this evening; 6pm to 2am!!! Hoping and praying that she does well and gets a part time job at last!!
