Market Day
It was the turn of the farmer’s market in Stratford today. Amongst the stalls of delicious looking fresh food a group of Border Morris Dancers entertained the crowds. These dancers originating from the English/Welsh borders are said to black their faces and wear ‘tattered’ clothes as a disguise so the people they were collecting money from did not recognise them. There is no evidence of any racist motivation.
After lunch I met Roz and Martin at The Windmill, as The Garrick was rammed, for a pint of so of Abbot. We had a nice time nattering about this and that.
For tea I made paella rice with pilau seasoning, mushrooms and peas served with mini veggie burgers.
I’m looking forward to the new (last) season of Borgen starting on BBC4 tonight.
