Urchin

DDW's November Challenge Day 16 : Fragile

I often see bits of sea urchin as I wander along the shore - little bits of coloured texture that draw the eye to the sand. Usually they are pretty small, sometimes I see a larger chunk. I have only found 2 complete urchins on the beach, and both times they were full of evil smelling rotting innards. I wasn't inclined to carry them home. Normally the fragile shells are smashed to bits on the rocks.
This is one that Mum found a long while back - thankfully it was clean(ish).
