Mangrove swamp

Had a long but beautiful drive from Auckland to Paihia this morning, in the Bay of Islands. After checking in to our hostel we drove over to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and started a beautiful 10km return walk from there to Haruru Falls, through forest and a mangrove swamp. I'd actually done this walk 7 years before, on my last visit to NZ, but it was lovely to walk it again with Tim.

Had a delicious Thai meal back in Paihia for dinner, then struggled to stay awake until 9pm.
