Village Meet
The village meet of the local foxhounds was held outside the upper pub this year and all the rural villagers were there, quite a few of them on horseback. The field was enormous, there must have been at least 80 horses of all shapes and sizes and they will be coming across our muddy farm later this afternoon! Not to worry, the master always visits the farmers days before hand to discuss where they would be allowed to go. That number of horses could do a lot of damage to the wet ground and young crops if they do not ride single file around the edges of the fields. Hunting is getting more and more popular with all ages in our neck of the woods.
