Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris)

The chuckling brought my attention to this bird in our crab apple tree.  The Fieldfare is a large species of thrush.  They winter in this country living off berries and insects and worms etc.

I would really love to enhance this photograph with more contrast - where has it gone??!!
