World's Most Famous Beach lifeguard

Here is a Daytona tourist who wants to instagram her northern European neighbors a photo of another example of US excess - having a lifeguard out on a day when the World's Most Famous Beach is pretending it is on the Arctic Ocean. Note: abundant ornithological models vying for your attention! And, should you NOT give it to them, they have ways to make you pay!
I truly appreciate having lifeguards at the beach. But it is a cool, overcast and windy day. However, Volusia County still wants to make sure you are safe should you be crazy enough to want to take off your parka, sweatshirt, snow pants and mukluks and get wet.
Good thing it ain't my job. On a day like this, I'd let 'em drown, rather than have to strip down and get in the water. The body is easier to retrieve after it bloats and floats ashore.
