Opening the Hair Salon

We opened our Hair Salon at school in September 2007. We had a proper launch event - local media, the Mayor etc etc.

This is the photographer from the local paper.

Trying to take photos of photographers taking photos of other people, without getting in their way and p***ing them off, is quite difficult.

I have got better at it since then :-)

By the way - the salon IS fantastic - and two years on, its is still immaculate - even though it is used all day every day, for training for groups of our students, and students from a local special school. For kids who the outside world say "don't deserve nice things" and are apparently lacking in respect for anything, I think our kids have proved that if we invest in them, they will pay us back with respect, hard work and a word of thanks every now and then.
