Temple
I've now seen many temples since being in Cambodia, the country has hundreds of them. Being amongst these ruins and away from the tourists it came to me how real all this is. We see this sort of thing in theme parks, normally with a roller coaster or attraction ride rumbling through, but, this is real! Possibly in some cases 1400 years or more real! The work that went into their construction is truly inspiring. It's amazing to wander around and try to picture how they could have once been.
This particular temple is a budist temple and has a new one (by comparison) adjacent.
Apart for a short ride out to visit the temple and another ride back to town, passing through a number of small villages with wedding ceremonies seemingly going on everywhere, today has been quiet.
The rest of the day was spent on board our little coach for what seems like endless hours (our journeys are being made more difficult due to the state of the roads which are riddled with potholes (craters) following heavy rain. Sorry don't know where I am. Only an over nighter. Leaving at 7am as hotel doesn't do food so we have to hit the road and see what we can find.
Accommodation has taken a downhill turn since we arrived and the creatures that share our rooms more plentiful.
Unlikely to be able to post for the next few days as we go somewhat more local!
Thanks for commenting and following along. I'll catch up on replies and my normal blips when I get more of a chance, for now I'm hoping to get some sleep :-). Till next time bye for now. Pressing copy button then done :-)
This didn't go and is therefore a back blip.
