It has been a hard day walking with much of it on narrow very steep stoney paths with views of the blue Mediterranean below the cliffs, but in glorious sunshine. The distant tower which seemed so high up when we stopped there, was built as part of a series of lookout tower to warn the locals of Barbary pirates who might capture them as slaves.
