At the going down of the sun..
Decided to try a night shot today, especially as there was supposed to be fog. Well, the fog didn't materialise much (or it hasn't yet), but I went into town after work and for Armistice Day this was the obvious location - a bit to one side of the west front of Winchester Cathedral, looking lengthwise down towards the north transept and with the bronze statue of the Unknown Soldier on the left. In case it's a bit indistinct, he's a WWI tommy and I think you can just make out the poppy wreaths at his feet. Though most of these are at the War Memorial, kind of behind where I was standing. Lots of them. Winchester is/was a garrison town, after all.
The image has a bit more noise in the sky than I would have liked - does anyone know the secret of blipping night pics without?
Have a good evening, dear peeps x
