And here is the reason we are in Lincolnshire for this brief visit.

Today is Dawn's grandmother's, UHU, 90th birthday. We were in Lincolnshire for a massive family shin-dig. There were about 50 odd people there in the end, pretty much all family as there are five generations. I have no idea how they all relate to each other, but then it seemed neither did most of the other people there either.

It was a lovely afternoon evening, only slightly ruined for me as I have come down with a streaming cold this morning. I enjoyed myself, but it hard to throw yourself into the swing of things when your nose is streaming constantly.

Why is Dawn's grandmother called UHU? Well the answer is rather charming . When Dawn was in school she used to walk past her grans house on the way to school, and she would wave from the window and go "you-who" . How many of you thought her name was "uh-huh" until that point! ;o)
