THE LAST LAUGH
We worked for hours today raking, blowing, vacuuming and mowing, collecting and dumping - clearing ‘tons’ of leaves from the borders and grass. Yesterday was incredibly windy so lots of leaves fell; however, these copper-colored oak leaves are holding tight, waiting to drop after we think we're finished. It’s like they have the last laugh! The best part of the day was the sunshine – a totally clear, blue, blue sky. It seemed so refreshing to be outdoors – but I’m sure to ache from head to toe in the morning! It was late in the afternoon when I realized I didn’t have a blip yet. With all the noise & commotion we were making, there were absolutely no critters around, so these oak leaves will have to do for today.
