To the Lighthouse
M came back for the weekend and took the old man out to see the rugby. I've never seen a professional game before and it was really good. The Saints beat Gloucester 33-6 on a crisp, cold evening. You don't quite appreciate the scale of the tackles until you see and hear them at close range.
And, compared to a football match, the atmosphere was really friendly.
Thanks M!
Oh, and we had a good view of the Northampton "Lighthouse". This was built by a forward-thinking council who realised that, what with global-warming and people leaving their taps on and stuff, Northampton would soon be a coastal town.
