Nana's Sally Lun

It was a joy today to cook my Nana's Sally Lun. This was a very humble recipe handed down to my Mum and now to me. I've included Mum's handwritten recipe in the image as it's a delicious and very easy tea cake to whip up at a moments notice! I always used to believe that the Sally Lun was my Nana's speciality until I googled it and found that Sally Lun used to live in Bath in England and the Sally Lun Bun was quite famous. People would go to Bath from all over England to her tea shop. I will have to try the original one day.
