A Close Up with a Giant

This is a close up of an Elephant known as Vali Moosa, in the Addo Elephant National Park. He is a huge beast, weighing almost 6 tonnes, he may be almost 4 meters at the shoulder but on this day, having him walk up to me, while sitting in a vehicle & stand less than 2 meters away, for more than 5 minutes, he was the perfect Gentleman.
This has to be one of the best moments in my life - being able to commune with a perfect pachyderm!
