You're in the Army Now

So, here's what's happening:

The Army, Navy, and Airforce has invaded Timaru - it's like World War 2 around here at the moment!
They're here for a military exercise, for the next two weeks.
It's all terribly exciting - especially for me because, well, MEN IN UNIFORM!!



Anyhoo, Mario & I went down to the port this morning (after taking a poor Thrush who'd been hit by a car and had a broken wing, to the vet), to take photos of all the commotion.

Apparently there's personnel here from all over the world!

Mario got chatting to one of the MEN IN UNIFORM! And he gave us a ration pack, which contains enough food for one person, for one day. There were lots of goodies inside, including chocolate and Anzac biscuits.
