The beginning of a long fortnight

Carys started cursive writing at school today. What she does in lesson she is then supposed to practise again at home, for the next two weeks. All well and good, unless of course your child is a perfectionist. If that is the case the practising at home leads to stress and meltdowns, because her writing is never quite right, in her eyes. In mine it mostly looks perfect. According to my friends, this poor child has a double dose of the perfectionist gene from both Mummy and Daddy. Hopefully it will stand her in good stead in the future, even if it a pain in the bum for us right now.
