French, Patio, Windoor?
When Ah waz a lad ... We called them "French windows". Presumably because they were almost entirely glass and you could see through them. Why French, rather than Spanish, Italian, Continental?
Anyway ... As I aged, and we saw more USA television, it appears them over there call them "French doors", presumably because they opened for access, door-like.
As time progressed they seemed to be renamed, by some, as "Patio doors", presumably coz that's where they often went to.
Ergo it must be a French, patio, windoor.
Been a bit lax of late, what with denuding walls and shifting furniture. But not necessarily in that order (Sorry Eric Morecambe) , that and going downtown sans camera today (and tomorrow).
It's been a trifle fraught.
